Nurse Aide Training Program for Qualified Employees
Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility provides skilled long term care services to residents in a beautiful household environment.  We are accepting applications for new employees that are seeking training and employment as certified nurse aides in our Facility. We provide both long term care and short term rehab care for our residents.  Come for a tour and see what makes us different.

Hired Applicants must complete the offered Nurse Aide Training course and required testing in order to be registered as a Nurse Aide in the State of Michigan. Cross training in dietary, housekeeping and laundry skills is required to maintain employment. We are hiring for full time positions on the 3pm-11pm shifts. Our shifts include holiday and weekend rotation.
Class begins October 23rd thru November 3rd, 2017

The starting wage rate is $13.91 per hour.

Full  Time Registered Nurse on the Afternoon Shift ( 3pm to 11pm)

Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility provides skilled long term care services to residents in a beautiful household environment.  The Facility is seeking qualified RN’s to provide nursing care for household assignments of 20-21 residents.  We provide both long term care and short term rehab care for our residents.  Come for a tour and see what makes us different.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing/ Clinical Care Coordinator, the licensed Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for a resident household for a shift of duty.  The licensed nurse provides nursing care by utilizing the nursing process and following Facility policy and procedure to ensure State and Federal guidelines are followed.  The licensed nurse manages the environment to maintain resident safety, and supervises the resident care provided by nursing assistants cross trained in household care. Experience in geriatrics is preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Possesses a current license to practice in the State of Michigan as an RN.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to manage and supervise nursing staff. Ability to make independent decisions. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Meets all health requirements as required by law. Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff.  Basic computer skills are required and the ability to utilize the Facility’s electronic medical record system after training.

Position Summary

The care giver (universal worker) provides person-centered care. The universal workers attend to and support the medical, physical and psychosocial needs of the resident’s in their daily life. With a primary goal in helping the resident achieve their quality of life goals at the highest optimum level.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Experience in a long-term care setting and computer experience are a plus, but not required.

Graduate of state approved CNA program in good standing and meet all applicable federal and start certifications.

Skill Knowledge and Abilities

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. The ability to write legible and with correct English Grammar. Meet all health requirements by law. Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff.  Basic computer skills are required and the ability to utilize the Facility’s electronic medical record system after training.

Direct care staff that have completed one year of service are eligible to apply for financial assistance when pursuing their LPN or RN licensure.

Hourly pay rates start at $13.91 per hour with an additional $0.75 per hour shift differential.
