Nurse Aide Training Program for Qualified Employees

Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility provides skilled long term care services to residents in a beautiful household environment.  We are accepting applications for new employees that are seeking training and employment as certified nurse aides in our Facility. We provide both long term care and short term rehab care for our residents.

Hired Applicants must complete the offered Nurse Aide Training course and required testing in order to be registered as a Nurse Aide in the State of Michigan. FEES ARE COVERED BY THE FACILITY. Cross training in dietary, housekeeping and laundry skills is required to maintain employment. We are hiring for full time positions, 12 hours shifts (7:00 pm to 7:00 am), every other weekend off.

The starting wage rate is $15.89 per hour plus an additional .75 shift premium and .50 per hour weekend premium.  Top wage is $18.08 plus shift / weekend premium.

CNA’S

Position Summary
The care giver provides person-centered care. The CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistant) attend to and support the medical, physical and psychosocial needs of the resident’s in their daily life. With a primary goal in helping the resident achieve their quality of life goals at the highest optimum level.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Experience in a long-term care setting and computer experience are a plus, but not required.

Graduate of state approved CNA program in good standing and meet all applicable federal and start certifications.

Skill Knowledge and Abilities
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. The ability to write legible and with correct English Grammar. Meet all health requirements by law. Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff.  Basic computer skills are required and the ability to utilize the Facility’s electronic medical record system after training.

Direct care staff that have completed one year of service are eligible to apply for financial assistance when pursuing their LPN or RN licensure.

LPN’S AND RN’S

Meadow Brook MCF provides skilled long-term care services to residents in a beautiful household environment up to 21 beds per floor. We are accepting applications for new employees that are seeking employment as RN/LPN’s. We provide both long term care and short-term rehab care for our residents. Applicant must hold current Michigan license as an LPN or RN.

Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding long-term care and standards of practice, is a must. Applicant will be responsible for supervising and coordinating nursing activities in the household by performing the essential duties of the job description. Multiple shifts are available: 8 and 12 hour shifts: day, afternoon, and midnight.
